Accepting these terms
By accessing feedscan.io or using FeedScan services ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all of these terms, do not use the service.
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and FeedScan with respect to your use of the service and supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings.
What FeedScan provides
FeedScan is a B2B tool that scans ecommerce store product pages for structured data (JSON-LD) errors that may affect Google Shopping listing eligibility. The service crawls publicly accessible sitemaps and product page HTML to extract and validate Product schema against Google Shopping requirements.
FeedScan offers a free tier (5 products per scan, rate-limited) and a paid monitoring plan ($29/month) that provides daily automated scanning of all products with email alerts.
You are solely responsible for independently verifying scan results and making decisions about your product structured data. FeedScan is a diagnostic tool, not a guarantee of Google Shopping compliance.
The service is provided "as is"
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from delays. We do not warrant that scan results will be complete, current, or accurate. Some ecommerce platforms render structured data via JavaScript, which our external crawler may not detect. Schema requirements may change as Google updates its policies.
Plans and pricing
FeedScan currently offers:
- Free — $0. One-time scan, up to 5 products per scan, rate-limited to 5 scans per day.
- Monitor — $29/month. Daily automated scanning of all products in your store's sitemap, email alerts when schema fields break.
Billing recurs automatically on a monthly basis from the date of your initial subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe. FeedScan does not store your payment card information.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period. You retain full access through that period.
Refunds
All fees are non-refundable once charged, except as explicitly provided elsewhere in these terms. If you believe there is a billing error, contact us within 14 days of the charge. Termination by FeedScan without cause entitles you to a prorated refund as described in the Termination section.
Permitted and prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the service to scan stores you do not own or manage without the owner's consent
- Resell, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit scan results or the service to third parties
- Use automated tools to bypass rate limits or systematically abuse the free scan tier
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or replicate the service for competitive purposes
- Use the service in any manner that violates applicable law
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access immediately if we determine you have violated any of these terms.
What we own
The FeedScan name, logo, website, software, scan methodology, report formatting, and all other original elements of the service are the exclusive property of FeedScan and are protected by applicable intellectual property law.
The structured data extracted during scans is publicly available information from your storefront. However, our validation methodology, scoring, and report presentation constitute original work.
What our scanner accesses
FeedScan accesses only publicly available web pages through standard HTTP requests. Our scanner identifies itself via a user-agent string ("FeedScan/1.0"). We access sitemaps and product page HTML the same way any search engine crawler would.
We do not access password-protected pages, admin panels, customer databases, payment systems, or any non-public resources. If your robots.txt blocks our crawler, we will respect those directives.
Scan results may be stored and accessible via shareable report links. If you want a scan report removed, contact us.
Uptime and delivery expectations
We make commercially reasonable efforts to keep the service available and deliver monitoring alerts on schedule. Service availability may be affected by factors outside our control, including infrastructure outages, third-party service provider issues, or maintenance.
FeedScan shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control ("force majeure events"). Delivery gaps caused by force majeure events do not constitute a breach of these terms.
Cap on our liability to you
In no event shall FeedScan's total aggregate liability to you for all claims exceed the total fees you paid to FeedScan in the three (3) calendar months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Your obligation to defend us
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FeedScan and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or connected with:
- Your use of the service or scan results
- Your violation of these Terms of Service
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Any business decision you make based on scan results
- Any dispute between you and a third party in connection with the service
How we handle disagreements
Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact FeedScan at scan@feedscan.io and give us no less than 30 days to resolve the dispute informally.
Class action waiver
You agree that any dispute will be resolved on an individual basis only. You waive any right to bring or participate in any class action, collective action, or representative proceeding against FeedScan.
Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cabarrus County, North Carolina.
Our right to end the relationship
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access immediately without notice if you violate these terms. We may also terminate your subscription without cause by providing at least 7 days written notice. Termination without cause entitles you to a prorated refund for any unused portion of your current billing period.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. For material changes, we will notify active subscribers by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
If you do not agree to a material change, you may cancel your subscription before the effective date and receive a prorated refund.
